Jim Carper- Bass/Vocals

Jim Carper started playing bass in high school jazz band. After that he played in several folk & blues groups and eventually moved into high powered fusion rock in a band called Osmosis. Osmosis opened shows for Peter Frampton, Fabulous Rhinestones, NRBQ, James Cotton Band and others. A tour in the military put the kabosch on Jim's music for a spell. When he returned to Connecticut, he played in several party bands in New London county. Rick Stannard and Jim hooked up to play rock covers and soon started trying some original material. Gradually they started playing all original music sets. Aside from Run for Cover, Jim is presently recording & playing in Deebolay, an original Rock trio.

Running history- Jim was a half miler in high school, and was the small school gold medallist in his junior & senior years. He ran for the Air Force in military competitions where he concentrated on marathons for the most part. PR of 2:39 in 25 marathons, 10 were at Boston.
