Rick Stannard - Guitars

Rick started his musical career as the premier air guitarist in his Waterbury, CT neighborhood. After graduating to a REAL guitar, it became apparent that his earlier notoriety would be harder to regain. While at college in Worcester, MA, Rick played in various bar bands, and realized that it's a long way to the top if you want to rock 'n' roll, to coin a phrase.

Moving on to Houston, TX, Rick soon discovered that Texas, while in the USA, is really a different country. The smokin' jazz fusion band he was in made great music, but no one in Houston could two-step to it, so the band folded.

More life stuff led Rick back to Connecticut, where he hooked up with Jim Carper in one of Connecticut's best bands, Jane Doe. After several personnel changes, "Jane Doe," a classic bar band, morphed into "DeeBolay," an all original band.

Rick lists Eric Clapton and Duane Allman as strong influences, and on a good night, you might even hear that.
